Realtek Pcie Fe Family Controller Ethernet Driver Download
I recently attempted to connect my pc directly to my router via cable and what I get are these arbitrary disconnects. I've spent more hours than I care to with Dell Technical Support who have attempted all the suggested solutions without success.
As a last resort, they've suggested that I re-install Windows 10 which would essentially wipe out all my applications and they would have to be re-installed. Not willing to try anymore trial and error fixes. Seems Microsoft and perhaps Realtek need to collaborate on a solution.
HappyHeathen58 & Monte65 & Others, I too am having problems with my recent purchased HP Notebook (9/2/16) upon initial set up (9/3/16) it would not find my Ethernet connection, HP Tech Support walked me through uninstall, reinstall, power off my Comcast Modem worked fine up to yesterday 9/8/16. This evening HP Tech Support walked me thru the same steps. My RealTek PCIe FE Family Controller has a 10/01/15 date & driver version 10.6.1001.2015. The link provides shows the lates Ver. 10.010 and Update 2016/8/25, should the be the fixed version? I can't see how I can uninstall and reboot without loosing total internet access to download the new version. Please advise.

(Follow-up on Monte65: this solved the problem for my wired connection -- not wifi -- Dell Optiplex 3010 Win10Prox64 - Build 1511) I originally had the default Windows driver that was installed with my clean build of Windows 10. Starting having some problems and followed up by installing the Dell Realtek driver. At that point my connectivity came to a standstill. Following Monte65's feedback, I checked my installed programs list and found an older Realtek GBE Family Controller installed under Control Panel >> Programs & Features.
